How did you find Foras?
I was recommended by a friend who had used Foras before.
Why did you choose Foras?
I simply could not find the quality of tile or staff as knowledgeable elsewhere. At Foras I was able to go to the showroom and see my selected tile laid so I could walk on it, and see the pattern when it was laid. Seeing it in situ was invaluable.
Could you give us a short description of your whole project?
We built an annexe onto our brick and flint cottage in a rural location, the annex was also in brick and flint to ensure the continuity and to make it look like one big building rather than an obvious annexe. It is a high spec finish and we needed the outside patio to reflect the luxury of the building and inside.
What was the brief you gave to Foras?
We needed 150 sqm of stone to make a patio that would fit in with the style.
When did the project take place?
The build started early in 2015 but had the patio laid March 2017.
Did you use a landscaper?
We used a builder and landscaper as we had lots of different levels and needed heavy machinery in order to prepare the land.
Which stone did you choose?
Old Parsonage Antiqued Limestone
Why did you choose that stone?
We hoped it would look in keeping with the age of the house and we wanted it to be natural looking.
How did you place your order (in the showroom, on the phone)?
In the showroom, I visited a few times to take a look at the stone.
How was your experience dealing with Foras Staff?
The chap I spoke to gave us lots of advice and was very knowledgeable about the stone, how to lay it and everything else we would need.
