Our clients discovered Foras via our Burnham Market showroom during the early stages of their renovations and decided to make the journey over to our head quarters at Stowbridge to view our full range of stone floors. Their brief was a hard wearing natural material with a contemporary edge that could be used throughout the entire downstairs area which included high traffic spaces such as their kitchen and entrance hall.
After looking at various potential options a decision was made to use Old Eddison Tumbled Limestone; the delicate patination with the limestone is forgiving to everyday family life yet belies the strength and durability of this Moroccan stone.
Supplied in a set width of 500mm with various lengths and laid in a linear format; this choice of stone lends itself to the contemporary look and the softly tumbled edges adds just enough character without appearing too traditional.
The sandy hues of this limestone against the cool nautical tones of the interior furnishings creates a homely warmth to the space. The panoramic views of the gardens and surrounding areas draw the outside in with the extended use of the stone on to the terraces.
